Why You Feel Behind in Life

 Dearest Reader,

A friend said to me this week, "I  thought my life would be a lot different at my age. There are many things I thought I would do by now." I resonated with that. I think we all get impatient in life and that's normal. I think our God is trying to tell us to reach for certain things.

I realize I am an anomaly in the future I see for myself. I knew friends in college who's greatest ambition was to be a dad. There is nothing wrong with that. Everyone has a right to what makes them happy, within moral means.

Although, I do not desire to be a mom anytime soon (I still feel too young). I do want to achieve my career goals. I want to improve my music, my writing, and its message. I feel if I had kids and married right now I would lose a little bit of my ambition and that's not what God put in my heart.

So here I am world! A rising Catholic superstar, doing good for the world through music. God has blessed me exceedingly above my expectations. I pray you can see your blessings too. I lean on the scripture, "The path of the righteous gets brighter and brighter." Proverbs 4:18.

My encouragement to you is to keep doing the right thing. Be true to yourself and your gift. Stir up what God has put in your heart. Be a great husband, wife, businessman, friend, mother, or musician. :) Instead of looking how far you have to go, look at how far you have come. Learn to be proud of yourself today. I am.

Blessings,

Alaina DiCarlo
